AS WELL AS THE RELEASES FROM THE ARTISTS IN THE LIGHT FAMILY WE AT LIGHT HAVE A PASSION TO HELP YOUNG PERSON CARRY ON FROM A RESPONSE OR CONVERSATION, TO THE FIRST STEPS OF BEING A CHRISTIAN.
We have developed an online resource for young people who want to know more about being a Christian in a format that can be accessed on pretty much any device, from a phone to a laptop, on www.THEAAAPASS.com.
A young person gets given a AAA pass at a show (or wherever as it's generic and can be used anywhere). The AAA pass is on a lanyard, there are instructions on the pass that tell you to visit www.theaaapass.com. This website takes the young person through the gospel message, using the 3 points, ACCESS, ALL & AREAS. This is relayed through poetry, spoken word & rap, from some of the UK's best communicators such as LZ7, Twelve24 & Lily Jo. This gives them a chance to find out more or even respond to the gospel.
After this, the young person is linked to a youth leader at a local youth group, where a 6 - week discipleship resource is run - the AAA Sessions. Through 6 sessions, a young person can hear the fundamentals of what being a Christian is all about, connect into church life and connect with other young people in their area.
We have been using this in schools weeks across the UK and have seen amazing success in reaching young people and once making a response we are able to have insights into where they are on the course.
The AAA PASS is now availble online! Check out more in the video below!
AWARD WINNING SELF - HELP MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE
Our great friend Lily Jo has created an online self help resource in partnership with the creative team at LIGHT. The resource allows anyone to log on and anonymously find out more about mental health issues, such as Self - Harm, eating disorders & depression.
Lily Jo has a real passion to help people with their mental health . As a counsellor herself, Lily Jo & others bring expert advise, while keeping the resource accessible to anyone at any point. on their journey with any of these issues. Our artists have come across many young people facing these issues, in schools and at other events, so this will be a pivotal resource that we can put in a young person's hand, giving them a place to start & sending them on the first steps of tackling these issues.
Since it's launch in 2016, the online project has been awarded 'Best use of digital media youth work' at the Premiere Digital Awards.
The resource is out available to visit at www.thelilyjoproject.com Check it out!
